Spatial Pattern and Drivers of China’s Public Cultural Facilities between 2012 and 2020 Based on POI and Statistical Data

In the context of globalization and intensification international competition, construction public cultural facilities has long been not limited to meeting needs people but become an important initiative shape competitiveness cities. This paper collected POI socio-economic statistics from 2012 2020 285 Chinese cities employed coefficient variation (CV), Gini index (GI), ESDA, GeoDetector analyze spatial patterns driving mechanisms facilities. Findings: (1) Public in were featured by evident regional gradient differences uneven distributions, with a CV greater than 1.3 GI 0.5 both years. They also showed signs aggregation at weak levels, Moran I 0.15 years cluster pattern “hot east cold west”. (2) Different types had their differentiation, aggregation, change trends. The changed 1.39~2.69 1.06~1.92, 0.53~0.80 0.47~0.62, differentiation libraries, museums, theaters, art galleries, centers decreasing gradually, while that exhibition halls increased day day. As 0.08~0.20 0.12~0.24, increasingly strong trend. Theaters declining trend, changing 0.15~1.19 0.09~0.1. (3) five variables exhibit significant strength across time regions, economic infrastructure factors being strongest urbanization factor weakest. There are forces among factors, total retail sales consumers, number subscribers internet services, regular higher education institutions, undergraduates HEIs playing direct interactive roles as core factors.
